Apologies for the lack of commenting over the next few days as I have tragically killed both my iBook and my Sony Vaio in the space of a week (cocked up hard drive and screwed up motherboard respectively....) so I'm feeling ever so geekish typing here at a hotel business centre (it's much better to geek out in the privacy of your own room...). Whilst I've been trying to fix my sans computer solution, I haven't yet delved into what New York has to offer but I did come prepared for the weather which was attrociously stormy yesterday...
Ergo... I present you my first pair of practical purpose shoes.... the rainboots in a bag [1] that are as light as a feather and were on sale at Luisa Viaroma. Pretty they ain't (though the navy patent, my fave sort of patent, is a bonus....), but I'm free to slosh about and trot about along the lo-ong stretches of avenues and streets here. I shall set about them prettifying them though by threading through some grosgain ribbon and also pairing them in a way that doesn't blatently say 'outfit with rainboots' but 'outfit with navy patent flats boots'. There is a difference by the by.
