Whilst I was hot-footing it to Paris on Friday 30th November, a crazily calm (or calmly crazy?) affair was going on in Bermondsey.  I don't know about you but how badly do you want to see film of a surreal dinner party held at Zandra Rhodes' [2] penthouse, hosted by Natt Weller [3] (son of Paul..) with guests that include Marios Schwab, the artist Andrew Logan [4], musician/DJ Bishi [5] and Piers Atkinson, editor of the LFW essential The Daily Rubbish [6]?
Other guests who sat down for dinner chez Rhodes were the wonderful Fred Butler [7], Barbara Grispini [8] the consultant of the British Fashion Council and London Fashion Week and also the ceramicist Kate Malone [9].

[12] Name-dropping aside, the film is directed by Ben Charles Edwards [13] who has long worked on portraying the weird and wonderful world of Jodie Harsh [14] and the film itself is also inspired by John Waters' first bizarro film 'Eat Your Make-Up' [15] as well as the 7th chapter in the book Alice in Wonderland about the mad tea party, hence the name 'Chapter 7: Eat Your Chiffon'.  I was supposed to be there to capture some vivid colourful moments and all the fun and frolics but Hintmag have done it better [16] with their behind the scenes video.  I wonder what conversations were going on, what sort soundbytes will come of the film and of course how 'mad-hatter' is this dinner party?

The film will be released in three parts ONLINE (yes not a restricted to Londoner type thing) from January next year (check out Glassloves [19] for details from 1st Jan 2008) and this is the first of a series of dinner parties with guests for the next one said to be 'very special' indeed.  I'm slapping myself for not being there so will be sure to get to the next one to immerse myself in something beautifully bizarre.
