Nicole Richie will give birth "in the next week".

The 'Simple Life' star is expecting her first child with her Good Charlotte
frontman fiancé Joel Madden, and according to Joel's older brother Josh is
about to deliver the tot any day.

Josh said: "The baby is due sometime in the next week. That's all we know.

"We don't know what gender it is. We don't know any names. I'm being
completely honest, I swear!"

Josh also said Nicole and Joel missed out on a Madden family Christmas
because Nicole was banned from flying as she is heavily pregnant.

He added: "Christmas was awesome. Nicole couldn't fly, but we were all
there. My sister Sarah's baby was born on the 20th, so it was right before
the festive period."

Nicole's best friend Paris Hilton recently revealed the couple were
extremely "excited" about becoming parents.

Paris, 26, said: "Nicole can't wait to become a mother, although she is a
little scared. They are both really excited and they are great together. I
know they will make wonderful parents."
