Jumping like Salmons in Cornflowers

Jumpsuits are one of those things which I don’t have a strong opinion of.  I have them, I don’t object to them, nor am I jumping (ahem...) for joy for them....  that they are supposedly THE things to be wearing in a floaty, baggy oversized manner with chunky gladiator sandals and an oversized man’s tux (can you tell that I’m reading off some sort of fash formula?) doesn’t really bother me either way.   They’re just another garment type and I can never quite understand why they cause that much contention seeing as they’re really like trousers with a top extension.   I’m not going to ask soul-searching questions about the jumpsuit as a garment.  I have a few.  They’re fine to wear.  I find it ok to pee in them.  End of story.

However, I am most pleased with the colour scheme of the jumpsuits I’ve acquired.  A salmon pink vintage jumpsuit (a fiver find whilst rooting around in Manchester over the weekend...) and a cornflower blue chambray jumpsuit by Steve J & Yoni P for Topshop (an older compulsive sale buy that has proven not to be a dud...).  This middling colour palette between jewel tones and pastels combined with a shade of wheat aka Topshop Unique SS08 colours.... are very much what a lot of my summery days will be about...

(Excuse miserable expressions... it was very EAR-LY!)
