[2] Whilst the website still asserts the fact that Repetto [3] does cater to the ballerina (love the French dance instructions as you play through the acts) the range of the brand's products suggests otherwise. At the Rainbowwave [4] show room, though I wasn't supposed to be looking at Repetto, my eyes still got diverted by an entire case of Repetto. Ballet flats aside, there were roomy slouchy bags, shoe-boots, brogues and T-bar heels. It wasn't just the shapes but the sheer number of materials and colours. Does make you go into Argos Catalogue-toy-section-browsing mode where you just go.... 'I want that one, that one and that one!'.
[8] On a ballet-related note, was I the only one who got much toffee-sweet pleasure out of watching the BBC adaptation [9] of Noel Streathfield's Ballet Shoes [10], starring Emma Watson and Emilia Fox last Christmas? Note to self: Must find faded floral tea dress that I have either left at my mum's house or in a hotel in Paris.... oh well, if I go to Paris and retrieve the dress and pick up a pair of Repetto's then it would be the perfect conclusion to this post...
