The PPQ Girls

It seems that PPQ is up for offering us mere mortals something on the affordable side with their recent ranges for Oli.co.uk (I'm awaiting for the sale to nab this stuff....) and now their latest collaboration with illustrator Hannah Bays.  Hannah Bays graduated from LCP and created single covers for Babyshambles which is how she met Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker, the duo behind PPQ as they released Babyshambles' first single through their record label.  I love the distressed, dishevelled and slightly dark qualities of Bays' illustrations and those qualities have been applied to six Sixties vampish pin-up pen and ink illustrations which PPQ have commissioned Hannah to do.  The exhibition of the illustrations is now open for a month at the PPQ store in Mayfair and though I didn't make it to the exhibition opening on Tuesday night, I will be picking up a t-shirt dress with a girl sexily (not sluttily!) clad in striped stockings.  The illustrations have been printed onto t-shirts and also tote bags and are available now in-store at a price of £29.50.

On a separate note, Hannah Bays' pic makes me want to make an oversized velvet bow tie to wear pronto with a silvery oversized man's dress shirt that I found in a charity shop.
