Cycling into Spring

Hmcycle
I'll be honest and say that the only reason why I've been stalking H&M these past few weeks is to see whether these S/S 09 cycling shorts to the left had dropped in or not.  No jersey bandage dress or coral neoprene-esque jacket was half as tempting as the odd colour combination of pink, yellow, black and pale blue panelling in these shorts.

It was a £9.99 joy that I couldn't wait to have just so I could colour match it elsewhere in the most direct way possible and today was the perfect spring day opportunity to do that via a vintage yellow satin jacket (from Mama Lau's closet...), a Topshop light denim bustier top, a Graey panelled tee, that ye old faithful pink PVC skirt and some pink press day freebie tights.

It's the sort of colour matching that is frighteningly gauche and matchy matchy to the point of anal that in the end it sort of ends up becoming endearing.  Somewhere along in the realm of it's so bad it's good.  I also ate a mass of chestnut paste, green tea cream and red bean gooeyness today that runs along those lines.  Today I was intent on tri/quad colouring my outfit and food and as a result I'll probably be reverting to a mass of grey and beige food tomorrow due to the colour OD.
