End of the Boom, Trotting Ponies....
All good things must come to an end and what an end it was complete with cheapie 2008 glasses, lots of black netting, painted triangles on faces and silver ahoy. I'm sure most of you know by now that Boombox at the Hoxton has now come to an end as of 1st Jan 2008 and with so many broadsheets flocking to pay it tribute (Independent, Telegraph), it's gone down the familiar route of underground exposure. I can't say that I'm crying over the loss even though I did hop there one or two times but I am looking forward to Richard Mortimer's new project (fascinating interview with the man here...) which is a website dedicated to fashion and style called Ponystep, due to launch this year. I reckon it's going to be very London-centric, not of the normal fashion ilk and will make a lot of noise. I would gladly predict this to be a major addition to many bookmark lists.
