Paris Fashion Week S/S 09: Day 7

So my shoulders are hunched and my face looks exceedingly tired (don't accuse me of self deprecation....see it for yourself ppl!) but over the last few days of Paris Fashion Week (I'm back now by the by....thank goodness...), I had become increasingly reflective and self-doubting about whether I fit into the fashion world, when I belonged or not.  I was really encouraged and chuffed at the number of people coming up to me and saying they loved my blog but on the other hand, doing the whole fashion week took its toll and made me feel like that perhaps I loved fashion for the craft, the clothes and all the stuff that makes me dream as opposed to the merry-go-round of the ppl and the business and the nasty attitude that goes with it.  Anyhow...this dress is illustrative of that as it's by one of my fave grads to come out of CSM MA this year and I'm ECSTATIC that Mary Katrantzou has been picked up by Relative PR and has produced a S/S 09 collection for sale (she now has super fly stockists that I can't reveal yet...).  I will post the pics later but when she was talking to me about her collection, I got a bit emotional and was really inexplicably happy that she was enjoying success.  I think if I go on dissecting what facets of fashion I enjoy, I'll stop being a mope-about and just start getting on with it.

Yes, this was an extraordinarily cheesy post and yes, please do follow with comments of 'Oh you look so crap!'... at least Mary K's success will continue to cheer me up!

P.S. Thanks Tommy.... you have been a star for taking my photos and have provided me with light relief with your devoted love for Carine and Emmanuelle this week...
