Duffy hasn't made any money since she started singing.

The 'Mercy' singer - who is proving a hit in both the UK and US - admits she
hasn't seen any of her earnings yet, but isn't worried about her lack of
funds.

She said: "I haven't had any money yet! I think it's something to do with
royalties. But at least I have enough money to buy a pair of tights now!

"I don't care about the money, I don't do it for that. I do it because I
can't not do it. I have a love-hate relationship with music. It drives me
mental but if I'm not writing melodies and lyrics I feel ill."

Duffy, 24, also claims she has made a conscious effort not to let her
growing fame change her life.

She added: "I'm clinging onto reality. I still want to hang out with my
friends and have a drink but I don't have any time. Sometimes it does my
head in. But I wouldn't have it any different."
