Leopard Appearance

Jogl2_3 As I've said before, leopard print and I have not been the best of friends.  Actually, it's not friend-rejection as such but rather leopard print is the unattainable friend that is a little out of my league and would rather hang out with cooler specimens.  I mean that in the sense that it is a pattern that has the ability to look very rich/lux but on me somehow looks terribly cliched.

However, today, I picked up the perfect friend for leopard print to come and play with.  This Jessica Ogden for Fred Perry dress was heavily reduced and I had been hankering after it only because I hanker after Jessica Ogden period.  Jessica Ogden had always been part of my eBay 'cute' search routine (consisting of Eley Kishimoto, Tsumori Chisato, Marc by Marc Jacobs) that I obsessed about when I was about 17.  I'm not sure what exactly has happened to her own label but I'm hoping something is cooking soon.

Anyhow, these leopard print tights had been sitting in my tights box, squished and feeling sorry for themselves.  But for some reason, when I got the dress home, the tights suddenly seemed like a do-able option despite the clash of prints.  The sweetness of the dress vs. the trash of the tights... yes, me and leopard print have finally made a connection.  We've said hello and in the future, we probably won't have to blank each other awkwardly...
