Bridget Moynahan never thought she would be a single parent.
The 'I, Robot' star - who has a nine-month-old baby John with supermodel
Gisele Bundchen's American football player boyfriend Tom Brady - never
contemplated having to raise a child alone.

Bridget announced her pregnancy last February two months after her
relationship with Tom had ended and he had started dating Gisele.

Bridget said: "I'm a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just
always thought that's the way I'd be doing this.

"For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was
going to have a family. I'm not sure anyone - and I could be wrong in this -
grows up thinking, 'I want to be a single mom.' "

It was not until the star had actually given birth that the reality of her
situation began to sink in.

Speaking about taking John home for the first time, Bridget told People
magazine: "I walked in and just started sobbing. All of a sudden, you have
this newborn you have no training for. It's frightening."
