John Mayer was stopped by police yesterday (06.03.08).

Jennifer Aniston's new boyfriend was given a ticket for a registration
violation because he didn't have front or rear number plates on his
Land Rover car.

The West Hollywood Sheriff Station confirmed the 'Gravity' singer had been
stopped by officers at 12:15pm in West Hollywood. They revealed he had been
given a citation before he drove off.

Speaking to onlookers following the incident, John said: "We'll take care of
this, it's an unfortunate situation - we'll make amends."

It was recently revealed Jennifer and John are set to get matching tattoos
to show their love for each other.

The former 'Friends' actress, who already has a heart etching on her
stomach, is keen to add a second heart in the same place and wants John to
have the same.

However, John would prefer them both to get their initials inked on their
bodies instead.

A source said: "John had the idea that they should both have a 'J' tattooed
in a secret place as that is both their first initial."
