When I last talked up Prim magazine, people called it up (talking up-calling up.... goooo dissenters!) on the somewhat shonky graphics, text and general unprofessional quality of it all.  Well, I will persevere and keep banging on about it because quite frankly a) Kristin, the editor of Prim is frickin' 14 years old, 'nuff said, b) the second issue which is online now is miles better and c) I like DIY-shonky zines anyway, the shonkier the better.  The fact that Prim has preened up a bit doesn't detract from the fact that it's a great bit of TEEN entrepreneurial effort that makes my efforts to start up a Young People's Appreciation for Evelyn Waugh online book club when I was 14,frankly laughable.   

I talk it up again because I have also got to keep an online track of e-zines and continue pondering whether a big enough sector will be carved up in these magical online zines that load up with moving bars.  Oh by the by, some people may find that annoying but I sort of thought it was like building up anticipation, the zine controlling the reader and not the other way round.  Another interesting concept to ponder...

The Future is Near, the future is miles and miles of ruffles in the hair, volume in the bum and strange animal masks...
