Apologies for lack of posts/comments.  All will be back on track when I've recovered some sleep time now that I'm back in London... my eyes look so hollow and black, you could gouge them out.  My digital camera failed to start up so I'm also lacking in pics.  However, official camera-ry pics are infinitely better seeing as I have a tendancy to shake the camera all about...here's a few from the Acne SS09 show which took place in Stockholm last night at the beautiful Acne headquarters...

Tomorrow, I fly out to Stockholm for a pretty short trip abroad as I return on Wednesday morning.  I'm flying out for the Acne Jeans SS09 show and will be laden with all sorts of Acne Jeans facts/tidbits (and possibly some goodies...) when I return.  More importantly, I'll be meeting the folks at Acne and demanding WHY they did not put THOSE cage skirts into the shops (or maybe they did and they were only available in Stockholm...)... questions need to be answered, goddamnit!

Naturally, I'll be wearing my floral cage skirt courtesy of Angie Montreal to really hone in my point.   

With only 7 students in the fourth year and 3 students in the final year, there was much to dissect amongst the 20-something member jury and much to discuss.  As I said, the students presented their work in great detail in a blindingly bright white studio, talking us through 5/6 of the sillhoeuttes from their collection as well as presenting us with lookbooks, CV's, inspiration images etc.  Understanding somebody's work with this information seemed to be crucial but at the end of the day, the work should also speak for itself. 

Well, I thought I had just about my share of surreal experiences this year but I think today just about trumped it.  So la la la la, off to Brussels I toodled (actually it was more like dragging myself out of bed to catch a 6.00 Eurostar...) today to be a part of the La Cambre school 4th and final year fashion students jury panel...
