The 'Jackass' star has been sober for 115 days but has recently been
suffering from mood swings and depression, so has entered the "looney bin".

The prankster - who last month was ordered to attend rehab for two years
after pleading guilty to cocaine possession - said:

"I've had horrible mood swings and severe depression. My brain is f***ed up from using so much
cocaine, ketamine, PCP, nitrous oxide, and all sorts of other drugs.

"My prescribed medication is not working so I'm back in the looney bin
trying to get that s**t right."

Steve-O - real name Stephen Glover - also warned others not to follow in his
footsteps.

He said: "Everyone's going to make their own decisions in life, but nobody
needs to make the same mistakes I made."

Steve-O was arrested in March on suspicion of vandalism and drug possession
at his Hollywood home after arguing with a neighbor about a fence.

sober for 85 days. His probation is set for 18 months, but it may be shorter
depending on his good behavior and continuation with the program he is in.

"He is currently living in a sober house and has straightened up."

Following his arrest, the MTV prankster was admitted to a mental health
unit, amid fears he was suicidal.

Friends became concerned for his wellbeing after the 33-year-old star sent a
series of emails containing references to death and suicide.

'Jackass' star Steve-O is doing "really good", according to his co-star
Chris Pontius.

Steve-O was admitted to a psychiatric ward at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai
Medical Center last week over fears he was suicidal, and Chris believes it
was only a matter of time before his close friend had to seek help for his
mental wellbeing.

He told BANG Showbiz: "I haven't spoken to him but he is doing really good.

He is doing great. I think to be on 'Jackass' everybody has got to be kind
of crazy and we all hang out together and we don't really think about it.

"It didn't come as a shock, no. Everybody's sanity on 'Jackass' is like a
progressive illness. Everybody is getting crazier and crazier."

Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since entering the hospital on Sunday
(03.09.08), amid fears he is suicidal.

Steve-O - who was charged with cocaine possession last week - is staying in
the Thalians Mental Health Center, the same unit where Hollywood actor Owen
Wilson was treated following his suicide attempt last year.

A source said: "Steve-O is in hospital now, not for injury but for
observation. He'll probably be there for another two weeks."

Friends became concerned for his wellbeing after Steve-O sent a series of

He reportedly wrote to friends: "I betcha I break more than nine bones if
nobody comes with something to catch me, because, mark my words, I will
fall!"
