Baring All in the Right Stuff

Let's just get this straight, baring the flesh really isn't my thing.  Who wants to see flabby thighs, a round tum and pancake boobs?  However, there is a distinction between baring all in clothes that has no other purpose other than to squash boobs so that they're at their maximum perkiness, ride up bum cracks and exposed midriffs and they have no other aesthetic pleasures otherwise.  And then there are clothes that whilst they bare a lot of flesh, do so beautifully, interestingly and no, I'm not looking at the nips and thighs out here in Kostas Murkudis SS08 collection but instead, I'm drawn to the delicately sheer gauzey fabrics in white and green, the use of burnt orange silk (not a colour I endear to easily...), the creation of geometric symmetry using colour and opacity blocking and a gentle hint at ruffles.

I'm by no means a bod-prude.  Cutting down on the cakes a bit and moving my arse off my bed could definitely prompt me to wear Kostas Murkudis in its natural glory, unlayered and untouched.  Perhaps it's the scarily singular body-exposing functioned clothes that can be bought in the likes of Surprise Surprise (cheapie tacksville shops that tourists in London might have accidently walked into...) that have been stopping me baring just that little bit more.
