Mariah Carey is reportedly engaged to Nick Cannon.

The 'Touch My Body' singer - who sparked rumors the rapper has popped
the question when she was recently spotted wearing a large diamond ring -
has reportedly told friends she is planning to tie the knot.

A source close to the 38-year-old star said: "Mariah is happier than she has
ever been, and she puts a lot of that down to being with Nick. When he asked
her to marry him, she had no hesitation in saying yes."

The couple met in March when Nick, 27, directed the video for Mariah's new
single 'Bye Bye'.

Mariah - who was previously married to record executive Tommy Mottola -
recently revealed any man would find it hard to compete with the amount of
"adoration" she gets from her fans worldwide.

She said: "I've always had really low self-esteem, and I still do. What is
weird about that is being on stage, and the love that you get, and the
adoration that you feel from your real fans. It's hard for a partner to
compete - just imagine."
