'What?!  No website?!  In this day and age?!'

I believe, when I last wrote about Tim Ryan's beautiful knitwear, people were intrigued to Google his name only to find.... well... not much information/images.  Whilst Ryan hasn't set up a website yet, it does mean that seeing his new AW08-9 collection is even more of a treat.

He delved into 1970s' vision of pretty flappers for SS08 but it gets a little darker, slightly more severe and dare I say a little bit 'Wuthering Heights' next season.  Exactly what I want from my knitwear, a genre that can all too easily fall into being softy/pretty.  There's an exaggerated dramaticism that Ryan has taken a risk with this season, whether it be in the voluminous sleeves or the crow-like feather effects on the sleeves and hem.  There's a dark romanticism that has been infused in the designs and I'm sure Catherine would be most pleased to be roaming around in these dresses, as would I, especially in the feathered sleeves and hem ensemble.... with my black crow on my head.... and some stomping studded platform shoes... yes.... the Halifax locals would surely appreciate all of that...
