Pyjama Sunny Days
I had my 'Pyjama Rainy Day' where the pyjamas stayed firmly inside the house. Now the sun is out, the pyjamas can now come out to play. If tracksuit bottoms, Ugg's and old uni sweatshirts was the sort of final year uni uniform that I saw often at UCL, especially around dissertation time, then it stands to reason that a prettier kind of nightwear should be allowed the same rights to be paraded in public. Note, I use the words pretty as opposed to racy. Racy/sexy nightwear has its place as outerwear too of course but today, it was about loose, girly and loungey as opposed to full on seduction gear. Afterall, it is a quiet Sunday and I was out to gather some Mother's Day stuff for a dried flower extravaganza I'm making (the mothership specifically requested 'Nothing expensive!').
So a thrifted/vintage ensemble of nighwear ensued. The floral night shirt was newly picked up yesterday for £1.50 at a charity shop, a vintage teal slip skirt, a Marks & Spencer night shirt again from a charity shop and an old rose nightgown that I tied up at the back. The colours remind me a little of the painting 'The Swing' by Jean-Honore Fragonard and actually I love the way I sort of blend in with the painting here... but my local high street with its KFC and Budgens will have to suffice...
