My 'pull em' down' trick  is terribly useful when I want to give the illusion of ankle boots on over the pair of sandals which I picked up in a charity shop.  Especially on a day like today which was particularly chilly and I didn't have quite the right ankle boots to wear with my outfit... or else I'm just to lazy to wear thigh high ribbed socks that keep bloody falling down...
